El domingo voluntarios de AVACA limpiaron la playa, recolectando material para hacer un arbolito de navidad ecológico.

On Sunday, AVACA volunteers cleaned the beach and collected material to build an Eco Christmas Tree.

Una limpieza de playa diferente: durante Octubre y Noviembre, AVACA estará haciendo limpiezas de playa para recolectar material (plásticos especialmente) para hacer varios arbolitos de navidad por todo el Casco Viejo. La primera de esta serie fue el pasado domingo. Estos arbolitos serán trabajados con niños de distintas partes del Casco. Esta iniciativa nació en el 2010, cuando AVACA hizo su primer arbolito, el cual se convirtió durante todo el mes de diciembre tanto en un atractivo turístico como un mensaje educativo.

A different beach cleaning event: the goal was to gather material (specially plastics) in order to build several Christmas Trees in Casco Viejo with the help of children in the community. The first beach cleaning with this objective in mind was held last Sunday, were event adornments were found. This initiative was born in 2010, when a Christmas Tree with plastic bottles was built at Plaza Catedral.  For a full month, it became a tourism attraction and a beautiful message.
